Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Unloop collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Unloop website, app, and related support features.
This policy applies to `www.unloop.tech`, `app.unloop.tech`, the Unloop mobile and web experience, and any related support or account communications we send. It does not apply to third-party websites or apps that we link to but do not control.
Depending on how you use Unloop, we may collect account information such as your email address and sign-in details, onboarding answers and preferences, OCD theme selections, severity information, lesson progress, journal entries, exposure logs, reflections, therapist-summary notes, AI support messages, and meditation or audio selections. Some of this information may relate to mental health and may be sensitive under privacy law.
We may also collect technical data such as device type, browser type, app usage information, IP address, basic diagnostic logs, and security-related metadata needed to keep the service stable and protect accounts.
We use information to create and secure accounts, personalize onboarding and treatment-support content, save your progress, generate summaries and reflections, provide AI-guided support features, deliver meditation audio and other in-app tools, respond to support requests, investigate misuse, and improve product quality, performance, and safety.
We may also use information to communicate important updates about your account, service changes, security notices, and policies.
Unloop includes AI-supported and audio-related features. If you use AI guidance, chat, summaries, or similar tools, the prompts and related context you submit may be processed to generate responses and improve feature reliability and safety. If you use meditation or audio features, script content and related metadata may be processed to create, store, and deliver those recordings.
We design these features to support the service experience, but Unloop is not a medical provider, and the app is not a substitute for therapy, diagnosis, or emergency care.
We use third-party providers to operate parts of Unloop. Based on the current app setup, these may include Supabase for authentication and database services, OpenAI for certain AI and audio functionality, and Resend for email delivery. These providers process information on our behalf to help us run the service.
We may update our vendors over time. When we do, we may update this policy to reflect material changes.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with service providers that help us run Unloop, with professional advisers when necessary, with legal or regulatory authorities when required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer involving the business.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you.
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, support sign-in flows, measure traffic, and improve the experience. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some of them may affect how the site works.
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will aim to delete or anonymize associated personal information within a reasonable period, subject to backup, legal, fraud-prevention, and security requirements.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk through access controls, authentication, environment-based secrets, and secure infrastructure practices.
Depending on where you use Unloop and where our providers operate, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual, technical, and operational safeguards for cross-border data handling.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to your information, request correction, request deletion, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis, or ask for a portable copy of certain data. You may also be able to manage some information directly in the app.
To make a privacy request, contact us using the email below.
Unloop is not intended for young children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Unloop without appropriate authorization, contact us and we will investigate and take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we may notify you in the app, by email, or by updating this page. Your continued use of Unloop after an update takes effect is subject to the revised policy.
If you have privacy questions, need help with a data request, or want to contact us about this policy, email support@unloop.app.
